Dr.Baldev Raj became the Vice President of International Institute of Welding

Dr.Baldev Raj, the Director of the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) has been elected as the Vice-President of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) for the period from 2009 to 2012 at the IIW’s annual assembly held at Singapore July 17.

Dr. Raj is the first Indian to be selected for the post in the 62 years old Institute having 53 countries as members. Dr. Raj became the first Indian member of IIW in the year 2006.
