Popular Cricket Players taken in Auction for the Third IPL

The Third IPL 20 – Twenty Cricket Tournaments are scheduled to commence on 12th March 2010. The auctions for ‘picking up’/buying Cricket Players for various teams of the Indian Premier League (IPL) were held on 19th January 2010. The following are the details of some of the players taken in by various IPL teams :-

  • West Indian All Rounder Kieron Pollard – The Mumbai Indians – for $ 7.50 Lakhs.
  • New Zealand Pacer Shane Bond – Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knights Team –
  • West Indies Bowler Kemar Roach – The Deccan Chargers – for $ 7.20 Lakhs.
  • South African all-rounder Wayne Parnell – The Delhi Daredevils – for $ 6.10 Lakhs.
  • England’s Eoin Morgan – Royal Challengers Bangalore – for $2. 20 Lakhs.
  • Indian Player Mohammad Kaif – Kings XI Punjab – for $ 1 Lakh.
  • Former Australian cricketer Damien Martyn – Rajsthan Royals – for $ 1 Lakh.
  • Australian Player Adam Voges – Rajasthan Royals – for $ 50,000/-.
  • South African Player Justin Kemp – Chennai Super Kings – for $ 1 Lakh.
  • South African Bowler Yusuf Abdulla – Kings XI Punjab.
  • Srilankan Player Thissara Perera – The Chennai Super Kings.
