In the list of “Padma Awards-2010” the Hindi Actor-Mr.Saif Ali Khan, son of Cricket Star Mr. Pattaudi Mansoor Ali khan and Cinema Star Mrs. Sharmila Tagore, finds a place with a “Padma Shri” Award.
A court case is pending against him along with the Hindi Actor- Mr.Salman Khan for killing two black deer. So the selection of Mr.Saif Ali Khan for the “Padma Shri” Award has surprised many people and even there is protest by some people against awarding “Padmashri” to Mr. Khan.
However, the actor Mr.Saif Ali Khan reacts to the above surprise and protest against his getting “Padma Shri Award” in a defending manner.
Initially he felt humbled and undeserving on being awarded “Padma Shri”.
He now says that as the Government of India has decided to give the award to him, he must try to deliver his best and live upto it.
He says that people may be surprised on his getting the award because of his comparatively young age and also there are many more deserving persons for the award.
