Federation of International Football Associations/FIFA World Cup Matches are being conducted from the year 1930.
And the FIFA Tournaments had been held once in every 4 years, except in 1942 and 1946 because of the Second World War.
The 20th FIFA World Cup Foot Ball Tournament-2014, hosted by Brazil has been conducted from 12th June 2014.(till 13th July2014)
A total number of 32 International Foot Ball Teams are participating in the FIFA 2014 World Cup.
India in FIFA World Cup Foot Ball:
India is one of the 209 Member Countries of the Federation of International Football Associations / FIFA. from all the continents of the world
India has not yet become eligible for participation the World Cup Foot Ball right from 1930, when the I FIFA World Cup Tournaments were started with 13 International Foot Ball Teams.
Unfortunately, India is not in the 32 participant countries, in the 20th FIFA World Cup.
Let us hope that the Sports Ministry of the present Indian Government of Narendra Modi will watch the sad situation of India in Foot Ball and take necessary steps to make India to participate in the future World Cup Foot Ball Matches.
However, thanks to the Federation of International Football Associations / FIFA and the All India Football Federatio/AIFF, it is a solace to the wounded hearts of the Indian Football Fans, the U-17 FIFA (Under 17 years for Juniors) World Cup Tournament will be hosted by India in the year 2017.
