At the DRDO Bhavan, Newdelhi, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a bust-statue of Late. A P J Abdul Kalam at DRDO Bhavan.
PM Modi had inaugurated a ‘Photo Exhibition’ titled – ‘A Celebration of Dr Kalam’s Life’.
And he released a commemorative postal stamp on Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam.
In a grand function held at New Delhi, organized by the ‘Defence Research and Development Organization/ DRDO,Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated and recalled the memories of the late ‘Missile Man of India’.
PM Modi called Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam as the ‘Rashtra Ratna’ of India.
According to PM Modi, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam had not only risen from humble beginnings but had also built great institutions from the scratches and every Indian, especially, the youth of India must draw inspiration from him in innovations in various sectors, especially in ‘Cyber Security’.
In the function, PM Narendra Modi announced that a ‘Memorial’ will be built at his place of birth -Rameswaram, which would be developed as ‘AMRUT’-City (Amrut meaning Sweet like Honey/Nector)-city /(AMRUT standing for ‘Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation Scheme’) city, to inspire the future generations.
The Government has already acquired the land in Rameswaram, for the proposed- “A.P.J.Abdul Kalam’s Memorial”
