Complete List of “PADMA BHUSHAN” Awardees-2016

2    Mr.UDIT NARAYAN JHA,a 60 years old Nepalish-Bollywood Playback Singer, of Maharashtra,  has been awarded the ‘Padma Bhushan’ Award in the year 2016, under the ‘Category: Art-Playback Singing.

Mr.Udit Narayn Jha has sung in various Indian languages, such as: Nepali, Bhojpuri, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Garhwali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese,Manipuri,Maithili and Bengali.

Mr.Udit Narayan Jha was conferred on with the ‘Padma Sri’ Award in the year 2009.

3   Mr.RAM V SUTAR, a 90 years old Indian Sculptor of Uttar Pradesh has been conferred on with the ‘Padma Bhushan Award’ in the year 2016, under the ‘Category: Art-Sculpture.

Mr. Ram V Sutar has created more than 50  monumental sculptures in the last 40 years.

Mr.Ram V Sutar was conferred on with the ‘Padma Sri Award’ in the year 1999.

4   Mr. HEISNAM KANHAILAL,a 75 years old Indian Drama Director / Actor of Manipur has been conferred on with the ‘Padma Bhushan Award’ in the year 2016, under the ‘Category: Art-Theatre Field.

Mr.Heisnam Kanhailal was awared the ‘Sangeet Natak Akademi Award’ in the year 1985 for ‘Direction’ and the ‘Sangeet Natak Akademy Ratna Award’ in the year 2011.

5    Mr. VINOD RAI,a 67 years old former ‘Comptroller and Auditor General of India’/ CAG, of Uttar Pradesh, who had been serving as an IAS Officer in Kerala, has been conferred on with the ‘Padma Bhushan’ Award in the year 2016, under the ‘Category: Civil Service.

Mr.Vinod Rai is the Chairman of the ‘UN Panel of External Auditors and the ‘Honorary Adviser to the ‘Indian Railways’ and a member of the ‘Railway Kaya Kalp Council’.

Mr.Vinod Rai has turned the office of ‘CAG’ into a powerful force for accountability and transparency in India.

6   Dr. YARLAGADDA LAKSHMI PRASAD,a Telugu & Hindi Writer & Politician of Andhra Pradesh has been conferred on with the ‘Padma Bhushan Award’ in the year 2016, under the ‘Category: Literature & Education.

Dr, Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad who has done 2 Ph.D.s, one in Telugu and the other in Hindi.had been a ‘Member of the Parliament’ (Rajya Sabha) of the ‘Telugu Desam Pary’.

Dr.Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad is the Chairman of the ‘A.P.Hindi Academy’ and a Professor in Hindi in the ‘Andhra University.

Dr.Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad had been awarded the  ‘Padma Sri’ Award in the year 2003 and the  ‘Sahitya Akademi Award’ in the year 2009 for his writings.

7    Prof. N. S. RAMANUJA TATACHARYA of  Maharashtra has been awarded Padma Bhushan Award under the category : Literature & Education

8    Dr. BARJINDER SINGH HAMDARD of  Punjab has been awarded Padma Bhushan Award under the Category:Literature & Education – Journalism

9    Prof. D. NAGESHWAR REDDY of Telengana has been awarded Padma Bhushan Award under the Category:Medicine-Gastroenterology

10    Swamy TEJOMAYANANDA of Maharashtra has been awarded Padma Bhushan under the Category:Others-Spiritualism

11   Mr.HAFEEZ CONTRACTOR of Maharashtra has been awarded Pama Bhushan under the Category:Others-Architecture

12    Mr. RAVINDRA CHANDRA BHARGAVA  of Uttar Pradesh has been awarded Padma Bhushan under the Category: Public Affairs

13   Dr. A. VENKATA RAMA RAO of Andhra Pradesh has been awarded Padma Bhushan Award under the Category:Science & Engineering

14    Ms. SAINA NEHWAL, the Indian Badminton Star of Telengana has been awarded Padma Bhushan under the Category:Sports -Badminton

15  Ms. SANIA MIRZA, Indian Tennis Star of Telengana has been awarded Padma Bhushan under the Category: Sports-Tennis
