2 MR.GHULAM MUSTAFA KHAN of Maharashtra has been selected for Padma Vibhushan Award in the field of Art / Music.
Mr. Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan:
- is an 86 years old Indian classical musician in the Hindustani classical music tradition.
- is the son of Ustad Waris Hussain Khan and the grandson of Ustad Inayat Hussain Khan of Sahaswan Gharana.
- is a living embodiment of the continuity of Indian musical tradition through heritage.
- is associated with Hindi film industry as a singer, music director and as a teacher.
- has trained several noted playback and classical singers.
3. MR. ILAYARAJA of Tamilnadu has been selected for Padma Vibhushan Award in the field of Art / Music.
Mr. Ilayaraja:
- is a 74 years old Indian Cinema Music Composer of South Indian / Tamil cinema since 1974.
- is an instrumentalist, conductor, singer and songwriter.
- has composed more than 6500 songs and provided film scores for more than 1000 films.
- integrated folk music in Tamil and introduced western musical sensibilities into the South Indian musical mainstream.
- has been creating music by fusing symphonic orchestration with traditional Indian instrumentation.

1.MS. SHARDA SINHA (Woman) of Bihar has been selected for Padma Bhushan Award in the field of Art / Music.
Ms. Sharda Sinha is a folk-singer, who sings in Maithili, Bhojpuri and Magahi languages.
2.MR.LAXMAN PAI of Goa has been selected for Padma Bhushan Award in the field of Art / Painting.
Mr. Laxman Pai is an Indian Artist & Painter and he is a former Principal of Goa College of Art.
3. MR. MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI of Jharkhand has been selected for Padma Bhushan Award in the field of Sports / Cricket.
Mr. Mahendra Singh Dhoni:
- is a popular Indian Cricketer, who captained the Indian team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2016 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014.
- is one of the best wicket-keepers in world cricket.
4. MR. PANKAJ ADVANI of Karnataka has been selected for Padma Bhushan Award in the field of Sports / Billiards &Snookers
Mr.Pankaj Arjan Advani:
- is a 32 years old Indian English Billiards and Snooker player
- has achieved a hat-trick of hat-tricks in English Billiards, holding the World, Asian, and Indian National Championship Titles simultaneously, in three different years: 2005, 2008 and 2012 and recently in 2017.
- is India’s first world champion in 6-red snooker.
